About

Local dog trainer in Bozeman, balanced and quick solutions

I brought home a puppy seven years ago, and she looked up at me with bright, blue eyes full of curiosity and enthusiasm. In that moment, I realized I didn’t have the answers she needed. So I dove into the science of dog training.

Launa quickly surpassed my expectations. But I continued to learn about dog training and behavior. I became passionate about training methods that were based on trust and understanding. I began fostering dogs, volunteering with animal shelters, and was able to apprentice under incredible dog trainers who helped shape my career.

Through their mentorship, I began teaching my own private lessons. After seeing how transformative this work could be for both dogs and their owners, I never looked back.

When I adopted my second dog, Indie, I felt ready to handle her challenges. What I didn’t anticipate was just how much she would teach me in return. Every hurdle we have overcome together has made me a better dog trainer.

Working with shelter dogs was a significant part of my journey. Rehabilitating a dog with aggression and a bite history who was at risk of being euthanized was an especially meaningful experience. I fostered her for several months, helping her learn to trust and adapt to her world. I saw her transform during this time, and I was able to help her find a family who cherishes her to this day.

What began as a personal journey has become a lifelong passion and meaningful career. Seeing how the knowledge I share brings joy and freedom to dogs and their owners is a constant source of inspiration. I love when dogs and people are happy.
